It's Monday morning, and I am getting ready to start another working week. Last week I saw this video and tweeted it. My friend Cheri wrote a blog post about it and I realized two things
The noise in open office greatly reduces my productivity, like Julian Treasure points out in the video
The office setting with no walls, and not even a meeting room door to close, makes it very difficult for me to communicate especially HR issues with my team, like Cheri points out.
I suffer from both of these daily.

Hi Samuli,
After 7 years of working in my own room and now "enjoying" of an open office - yes, one could call it as a curse. Open office fits well for sales teams, treasuries etc., but for everybody - no way!
Manager’s Toolbox is my collection of management and leadership best practices. Writing about them forces me to process them and as a result I will better remember them and have them available when I need them.
My aim is to summarize and internalize the knowledge I need during my management career.
